Do I need planning permission?
Some loft conversions and extensions may fall under permitted development, while others need planning permission. It depends on the property and proposal. We help identify the right checks and agree any application support in writing before work.
How long will it take?
Timing depends on design, approvals, structure, access and finish. After a home visit and proper scope, we can give you a realistic programme and explain what could change it.
Will I have to move out?
Usually not. We plan the work to keep your home liveable and disruption to a minimum, and we keep the site clean and tidy day to day.
How do payments work?
The written quote and contract set out the price basis and payment stages before work begins, so both sides know what is due and when.
Do you handle the drawings and building control?
We discuss drawings, structural design, planning, building control and any specialist input during scoping. The written quote makes clear what we provide directly, what a specialist provides and what sits with the homeowner.
What about party-wall agreements with neighbours?
Party-wall duties depend on the work and neighbouring structures. We flag likely issues early; a qualified party-wall surveyor should advise where formal notices or awards are required.
Are you insured and is the work guaranteed?
We are fully insured. The written quote or contract confirms the cover, responsibilities and any warranty that applies to your specific work before you proceed.
Do you do heating and boilers too?
We cover heating and boiler work as part of the business. Gas work must be carried out by an appropriately registered engineer; ask us for the relevant registration details for your job.
How much will my project cost?
