Who is responsible
Bristol Construction & Heating Co Ltd is responsible for personal information collected through this website. What we collect
When you enquire, we collect the details you choose to provide: name, phone number, email, area or postcode, project type, message, referral source and any optional project-brief answers. We also record basic submission information needed to prevent spam and confirm delivery. Please do not send payment details, identity documents or sensitive personal information through the website.
Why we use it
We use enquiry information to respond, understand the proposed work, arrange a visit, prepare a quote, prevent misuse and keep an accurate record of the conversation. Our legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract and our legitimate interest in running and protecting the business. If work proceeds, contractual and legal record-keeping duties may also apply.
Who processes it
- Netlify hosts the website and stores form submissions so they can be delivered to us.
- Google Workspace provides business email and restricted file storage.
- Sanity hosts approved public project and testimonial content. Enquiry contact details are not stored there.
- Google Analytics 4 receives cookieless consent and basic measurement signals while analytics storage is denied. If you accept analytics, it receives fuller usage and conversion events and may set first-party cookies. Form names, phone numbers, emails, postcodes and message text are never sent to Analytics.
These providers may process data outside the UK under their contractual transfer safeguards. We do not sell personal information.
How long we keep it
Ordinary enquiry records are reviewed and deleted 12 months after the last contact unless the enquiry becomes a customer relationship or a longer period is needed for legal, insurance or contractual records. Project files received by business email are moved to restricted storage, removed from the inbox within 30 days and normally deleted 12 months after a lead closes.
Cookies and analytics
Essential local storage remembers your cookie choice. Google Analytics loads with analytics storage denied and may send cookieless signals about consent state and basic page activity. If you accept analytics, it may set first-party cookies beginning _ga to distinguish visits and report aggregated site usage. Advertising storage, ad personalisation and Google Signals are disabled. Rejecting analytics does not affect calls, forms or any site feature.
Your rights
You may ask for a copy of your information, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or transfer where the law applies. You may withdraw analytics consent at any time through Cookie settings. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. If a concern is not resolved, you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office.
Project photos and testimonials
Customer photos, names, testimonials and area-level locations are published only with permission. Exact residential addresses are not published. Permission can be withdrawn by contacting us, although legal record retention may still apply.

We may update this notice when services or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
